Sketching is the practice of drawing a rough outline or rough draft version of a final project. Sketching can be used in preparation for a large project, or to just get an idea of how something will look. Whether you’re sketching for fun or for a project, learning the proper technique can make the practice much more enjoyable.

Rendering is the next step to bring your project live. Learn the simple tricks to render a car using digital tools and graphic programs such as Autodesk Sketchbook Pro or Adobe Photoshop even if you haven’t sketched a car before. You’ll render cars using the techniques that I am using almost every day to get smooth results.

The basic process of designing cars is divided into three main aspects: exterior design, interior design, and color and trim design. As a Car Designer you’ll have to know how to develop correct proportions, shape, and surfaces of the car.

I usually use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 7 for sketching or rendering and Adobe Photoshop CS6 for giving a final touch to my design work (filtering, resizing, modifying etc.)

To create my designs I usually use Graphic Pen Monitor – Huion GT 220 which is cheaper alternative for Wacome Cintiq products.

It depends of how many details my design will have. If it’s only a simple sketch then it usually takes 5 to 30 minutes, but if it’s a detailed render then it can be even couple of houres.

Well… 😉 simply draw 10 cars on a piece of paper… EVERY DAY! 😉

Of course on Car Design Pro communities by publishing and sharing it with others 😉 Check full list here.
